There are many steps to creating a faceted glass window. After the initial design work is completed and made into a life-size cartoon, we have one of our expert glass selectors choose the glass to be used in the construction of the panel.
The glass pieces that were selected are then marked for cutting.
In order to cut the glass, our craftsmen use a variety of saws and hammers.
After the craftsmen finish cutting a piece of glass, they will then set it in the appropriate place on top of the cartoon.
After all the glass pieces are cut, our craftsmen lay the pieces in the same pattern on top of a bed of sand.
Next, the empty spaces between the glass are filled with poured epoxy.
After the epoxy has hardened, our craftsmen scrape away any excess epoxy that may be on the glass and clean the panel.
