Client: St. James Episcopal Church
Location: Lake George, New York
Restoration Date: April 2006
Scope of Project:
The historic restoration of one multi-plated leaded stained glass window
plus the repair and stabilization of five other windows. All six windows
were
covered with Flex-Span.
Techniques Utilized:
Disassembly of all leaded panels, cleaning of all
glasses, edge gluing of damaged glasses, reassembly of panels and plates by
releading and refurbishing of all bracing materials.
Additional Information:
An interesting feature of this window was the use of cut sheet lead filagree
to create the deepest shadows in the robe of the figure.
