Client: Washington Temple and Annex for the
Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Location: Kensington, Maryland
Scope of Project:
A total of over 2,500 square feet of faceted stained glass including:
1 east tower window 9 wide X 1326 high
1 west tower window 9 wide X 1246 high
2 narthex windows each 8 wide X 12 high
Techniques Utilized:
1 thick glass dalles, cut and faceted by hand,
and set into a matrix of พ epoxy.
Additional Information:
The faceted glass of the two towers is fabricated to be viewed from the
nearby interstate highway that serves as the Beltway around Washington
DC. The Temple and the faceted glass windows are beautifully lighted in the
evening. |
