Margaret Lanzetta


A resident of New York City, Margaret Lanzetta attended Skowhegan School in Maine, Tyler School of Art in Rome and received her M.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY. Cultural references strongly inform Lanzetta's work as she has lived and traveled extensively in Japan, Southeast Asia, India and Europe.

Her work has been widely exhibited, recently at the Queens Museum, the Dieu Donne Gallery, and International Print Center New York. Lanzetta's work is also represented in several collections including the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, England; the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY; the New York Public Library Print Collection, New York, NY; the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT; and the private collection of Werner Kramarsky.

In addition, she has received many awards, which include two MacDowell Fellowships, an Abbey Fellowship from the British Academy in Rome, a Dieu Donne Workspace Grant, an NEA-Council on Arts Fellowship, and a Fulbright-Hays Award.
